Regarding Nathan’s update about Twittersync. So I accessed the Twitter app on facebook and set it up. But it doesn’t appear to be updating my status on my wall. It may be including updates in the feed to my friends, though. Is that how it’s supposed to work? I thought I’d see status updates from Twitter posts on my Facebook wall.

I’m trying out http://www.ping.fm which has about 30 diff social networks/status update sites.U can update all with one interface. Including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Jaiku, FriendFeed, Delicious, which I use… I’m hoping to have one password/login to retain and fewer update processes. Getting overwhelming now and Twitter takes a fair bit of effort

Thanks for the update, Nathon. I had wondered why my Facebook status wasn’t being updated by Twitter. I got it to work now.

Facebook’s application Twittersync is not working because Twitter’s IM is not working. Per http://bit.ly/Y7EO “Twitter has turned off TwitterIM as of 5/23/2008 — meaning TwitterSync is broken until they turn it back on.”

Twitter has officially added its own application in Facebook that updates Facebook w/ Twitter posts. http://bit.ly/dua9

Still no word on LinkedIn updates from twitter, FB or elsewhere?

I agree with the LinkedIn profile getting stale. It’s annoying not being able to update via Twitter or other options.

Hear hear on the need for this to expand to other services, like LinkedIn. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s opened up soon, though… They do roll with the Open Social crowd, after all.
