		<description>Great points.  I just stumbled across this while doing some research on the topic, and I have to chime in that I agree with most of the points.  It&#039;s sad that so many organizations in the US consider Kaizen only when they&#039;re at a point of pain that they want to cut costs, rather than when they&#039;re succeeding and hoping to maintain that success.  The timing of a kaizen blitz within the organization is just as important as doing it with the right mindset.</description>

I believe the line &quot;For we know you have sand...&quot; is an old-timey way of saying someone is tough or has a backbone. I don&#039;t have any supporting evidence for that, but I recall being told that during some orientation at Illinois.  This song was written in the early 1900s.
