I met with a group today interested in seeing how we could use social media tools for Continuing Medical Education (CME), which is now called Continuous Professional Development. Someone asked what is being done at other centers, so as a demo of the power of social media, I said I would use social tools to ask the crowd for some answers and examples.

Lee: I’m going to be meeting with our Trauma Services leadership team and am certain this will be part of the conversation since they have a strong CME publication and would like to use social media to bolster its exposure. Hoping that perhaps we can use slideshare.net to create CME-eligible webcasts but need to learn more about requirements for credit. Any feedback from those following this thread would be great!
